well that historicaly inaccurate...
unless she was forced into the harem by a outside force the other consorts would never try to stir up trouble right after the emperor showed how much he favoured her publicly
why? because that would loose them his favour and that would be a death sentence... there have actualy been a few cases of an emperor purging his whole harem because the consorts killed his favourite and he couldn't find the culprit and afterward those became cautionary tales
