Blocking function not working?

I’m not sure if this counts as a bug, but blocked group’s posts still show up on my feed.
I’m specifically trying to block MangaPlus.

Not with groups but I'm having problems with the tags I've blocked. It says it's blocked under my settings but then when I'm trying to search for new manga, they're listed checked green. Even if I change to block them once I click search they'll revert to checked green and the manga I search for will include them

EDIT: it works on my laptop (chrome and edge) but not on my ipad (safari)
