In the main series it comes off to me like she doesn't visit him much or anything, but this chapter actually did some justice to her by showing that she did visit him everyday till he was moved.

Just picked up this series, man it was so good. It hurts me deeply that Kayo and Satoru didn't end up together, especially after reading this chapter, but there is some bittersweet poetic value in Satoru staying single to mirror Yashiro and it's slightly okay that Hiromi and Kayo who were two people who shouldn't have existed ended up together. AHHHHHHHHH I just wanted Kayo and Satoru to be together so much. Is it too much to ask for a 3rd rerun where he catches Yashiro back in 1988?

Tbh I feel like Kenya and Kayo have more chemistry than Kayo with Hiromi (mostly because Hiromi barely has any character" but yeah Kenya is probably too much of a bro to go for Kayo
