Boku no Giovanni - Vol. 3 Ch. 14 - Protagonist

Thank you! Just found it today and i'm thankful for the update. Remember read it years ago.

Now the mc getting wiser than he did 5 years ago. Still I hope he would get some nice honest talking with ikumi. I mean, while he become more grown up, the other still hung up to the past(and kinda psychopathic)

Why do manga author never fails to destroy our expectations, and produce depressing shit chapters on the point of character development, through their utter bullshit of lies and never fail to bully their MC like some God from of above with and inferiority complex.

Why do u want the MC to be nice to that soul stealing blonde bastard @Mewth hoping he would have a nice talk with the person who ruined his life so much so, that he's not allowed to be even sad

The manga was licenced a long while ago in my country and I read a bit more so here is a spoiler of why he didn't pass.
Tetsuo was basically copying the style of various famous chellist. So it was judged as lack of one's own personality and therfore, disqualified. Ikumi is so bitter about it because he says he loved the way Tetsuo used to play when they were kids so, yeah, he was disappointed.

Yeah honestly Ikumi's relationship with Tetsuo has never been healthy... Still, that kind of character is almost always my favorite, and I think in this case he has room to grow.

In this chapter, I think it's Tetsuo who isn't appreciating how devastating it was to Ikumi when he left him so suddenly. He's acting like they parted on good terms... probably because Tetsuo has learned how to work out his feelings and realized he was being childish back then. But Ikumi has never figured out how to do that.

@twit6597 as Violistofhameln said, it is explained in the next chapter but here the spoiler

What Yuriko meant is exactly about playing imitating other people's style.

@crosswavex
I never said he must not sad. Its 5years already. He had move on. If we had Ikumi PoV and he did stop, when he is a genius just because of his friend, then Tetsuo totally the antagonist. He killed someone talent out of jealously. But they don't. Instead Tetsuo fly to Italy and Ikumi still playing (because he want to be "special". Yeah kinda psycho there).

Tetsuo had a problem to begin, that's already stated by Yuriko far before Ikumi came. So nothing was stolen. If there's its his confidence, but he gain it slowly by effort & growing up. The way I like him.

And IRL, we need talk. Grown up talk. History tell itself. Human not a 2D things that only had black and white. Mostly human is colorful in grey area.

Wowie the comments are not what I expected!

But agreeing with what others were saying, I don’t think that Ikumi and Tetsuo ever had the healthiest of relationships. There was a lot of toxic codependency, which obviously blew up and boiled over when Tetsuo decided to move to Italy. Not excusing the way Ikumi is acting, but I think his attitude is somewhat typical for someone with lots of innate talent and not that many people around them that aren’t superficial. At least, that’s what i’ve noticed from my own experience with people like that.

Thanks for translating!
