I cheched the raws and the accident was actually 2 weeks ago, not 2 years ago. So i'm guessing Subaru didn't wake up for two days after the accident, and he was released from the hospital after going through some examinations etc when it had been two weeks from the accident. So there is a small time skip between the first couple of pages when he wakes up and the time he was released from the hospital and is shown to return home.
