I like it when a character comes out, and is met with casual homophobia.
It sucks, but I enjoy the realism.
My fav comic has a character who had long been expecting the two to get together, despite vehement denials.
When his friend comes out that they did get together he responds, with no ill will, “So what do gay couples do? Are dates different from hanging out with a friend?”
Takes little to set him on track, but having even accepting people be a bit ignorant is realistic.
Hell, a lot of legit homophobia irl is all behind the back, or just said in passing. It’s not all bullying and insults.
Anyway “u gay? lol!” is... some basic BS
