@imtaciturn well i’ll just leave it here that the chaehongsa was an actual thing and that the king in this story was a king irl. it’s so gross but his name was yeonsangun and he’s known to be one of the most hated/tyrant kings of all time (reasonably so). he wasn’t actually called yeonsangun when he ruled over joseon, but he was such an arse that they changed his name after death by adding a -gun at the end. the -gun basically means he’s a bastard prick lol.
