Well I didn't expect to see the irrevocable pervert character here, but I guess Dog Guy is just going to be like that. But I get the feeling that he'll also be the most supportive of the chief if he comes out. That being said, that last bit is still sexual harrassment, so his nice doggo face isn't going to save him from my disdain for irrevocable pervert characters

I'm really excited for this manga, I can finally share it with my friends who don't speak Japanese.

It's still illegal to marry if you're gay and it's commonplace to hide that you're gay in any way to the point where most of my frens said even if it's made legal they won't tell their parents, and many of them have 'beards' they married to keep up appearances. (I know two marriages that were two gay people together, friends but married on paper.)
There are even services you can hire to come with you to come out to your family if you're scared they might get violent or you need support.
When I came out to my extremely conservative traditional Japanese parents they laughed and said 'oh you're just young'. They couldn't comprehend it and so dismissed it as a joke.
Being gay is awkward enough even in openly supportive environments but in Japan it is so so much anxiety.
