@Mephyy I know what I'm reading. And no I don't see it as "evil deeds will be punished by karma" like in religious stories, because I understand this story is more complex than that. It's realistic. And I never said the dude was an antagonist. Even worse, he is the protagonist, which means the mc won't get away without any consequence. Especially since he's a teenager, he will have so much more to learn. That's the point of a drama genre isn't it?

I brushed away the "abusive mother" and "social outcast" part not because I didn't see them as important, but because they're not relevant to my point. I'm sure they'll have role in shaping and developing his character and worldview as the story goes.

I was just pointing out that when a side character gave him an act of kindness, they'd be surprised by (and most likely disagree with) what he'd make use of that kindness afterwards. It's simple as that.

Hopingthe significant age difference (3 years of difference) with the MC doesn't become an issue for Haru if she unconsciously starts to grow feelings for Souta though. Btw, when Souta smiles, it reminds me from Charlie Bucket from Charlie and the Chocolate factory; goddamit, his whole character reminds me from the first poorfag of children literature. Such a fragile smile worth to protect.

I finally had the chance to read Ch. 14. Won't say anything though for the readers' sake, however, the indirect kiss of this chapter will become a relevant plot point there.
