I'm assuming the supercomputer was for gene sequencing these creatures like in jurasssic park but like... is this a time travel thing too?
because there's no way that supercomputer's 50 year old hard-drive is gonna connect up with our boys laptop, which I suspect is where they're going with that.
heck laptops don't even hook up to internal pc HDDs in the first place
