Catulus Syndrome - Ch. 80 - Growth Consultation

I wish my cat would wake me up like that

Ayano discussing her love for Yuki with her teacher? Don't worry girl, it is easy to tell how Yuki loves you back. :)

I love the progress.

Nice to see Ayano speak of Yuki like that. It's funny that it's a different point of view of Yuki and it's totally different that Yuki give. It really show that Yuki have a self confidence problem and Ayano seem really to be the one who can help her.

This chapter gave me so many fuzzy feels. Love it so much.

Thanks for the translation as always!

But even the teacher just calls it building up a friendship .... the teacher doesnt understand and here I hoped she can give Ayano a push but maybe after speaking with Yuki she can give them a little push. XD (Ok in real japan the teacher would forbid it and make more or less sure that nothing happens.)

Something tells me you swapped the teacher's two bubbles after Ayano asks for help. She should be saying "Of course" out loud and commenting on her hitting her head as an inner-thought. I know the bubble sizes might make it a bit difficult to fit it all in there, but I don't see why she would bother thinking "Of course" after being that brutal out loud.

@07mak
I'm aware of the trope, but that's usually used if:

A) The character has a well established habit of doing such things in the past (I'd have to go back and read old chapters, but I don't remember her being like that), or...
B) The character has answered normally but tsukkomi'd internally several times in a row to the point where they accidentally swap on the next one.

That's why it felt so out of place to just do it right off the bat, but if @Arite says that's the way it's intended, I'll just have to accept the oddness of how it feels.

@ZaxaPac Tropes Are Tools, remember, not divine decrees to be slavishly followed to the letter. And Sensei's been in focus for like all of one extra chapter previously or thereabouts anyway.

The joke here obviously being that she's so surprised by Ayano's sudden interest in studying she slips up and gets how she should react as a teacher and her intuitive personal response mixed. (Ayano not even blinking at it is naturally part of the gag, but then given the company she keeps...)

We're adults, so we don't really get insecure over things.
Why would you even lie like that? This isn't Santa and Tooth Fairy bullshit, you're going to make her insecure about feeling insecure as an adult. Meanwhile the truth is that adults are the same fuckups they were as kids, just with enough experience to occasionally avoid repeats.
