Cestvs Series II: Legend of Desperate Struggle - Vol. 6 Ch. 56 - A Declaration of Complete Victory

God, i doesn't get a good vibe from that instructor but at least he got an achievement to back up his arrogance while Adonis is just a narcissistic brat without almost no experience. I hope Adonis lost badly

I'm not a big fan of how the artists draws heads. It's like there's not enough room for the back of the skull, so all the heads up looking like thumbs when seen from the side.

Yeah, Adonis beat that stuck-up snob! Then someone will hopefully beat your narcissistic ass!

@agtra Have we been reading the same manga? Adonis is one of top fighters in the royal guard led by Ruska's father. He is ultra fast and skillful, he beat a strong and experienced professional boxer with kiddie gloves on and while his left (or right) still hadn't completely healed while in the first part he beat 2 top Persian (Prazian, I don't remember) royal guardsmen and the only reason he got his wrist destroyed was because he was too arrogant. And he still won those two fights. He is plenty experienced.

I'd like to see Adonis whipped as the shitty brat he is, but on the other hand that'd make all the pages he's been the focus of completely wasted.

Adonis' cockiness really gets on my nerves, but there's no way he would lose to that asshole (who somehow manages to be even more dislikable).

Thanks for the release!

I don't want Adonis to lose until he fights Cestvs because their fighting styles are similar. When or if they do fight it'll be a battle of the speed gods and I think it would be super fun to watch. Plus if Cestvs manages to beat him, I think he'll learn a lot from that fight and evolve tremendously as a fighter.

Oh my god i want adonis to win and humiliate that man he's way too cocky and i wish it was someone of lower status. If he lost to someone beneath him that would shatter his pride

The problem with tournament arcs is that often you can predict who is going to win based on their narrative importance. Adonis isn't going to lose before he faces Cestvs, so this doesn't make it very exciting.

@PraetorDragoon
Adonis might be important enough to stick around after the tournament is over, though. The rest of these characters are probably gonna leave once it's over, but the German Guard is going nowhere.

This tournament is too predictable. We already know that the olympian, cestus, aden and adonis will make the semifinals.

@mustaphaouhain

if by 'aden', you mean emden, I'm betting he'll lose to loki (the giant) because loki is more of a threat to cestus than the guy he already beat

also, mutanga is a serious dark horse, he may be able to beat adonis/the olympian.

@PraetorDragoon
not really, a lot of tournament arcs have a few surprises:
a recent example is: kengan asura

Also, as boldmonkey has mentioned, adonis will be still be around after this tournament ends. so he might not fight cestus this tournament, which means adonis might lose.

To be fair both of them are quite obnoxious, so whoever loses it is still a win for the readers.

Loki was given his opportunity to shine against the first opponent so it's safe to say he is a prey to whoever i mentioned in the top four that will make it to the semifinals. Mutanga was hyped so that we can appreciate how strong cestvs is when he wins against him, and adonis will definitely make it to the semi/final tournament based on what we read on his family and stuff. The olympian who looks like a Greek god is the only one who gives a vibe of a winner to be honest, but let's keep our fingers crossed for our cestvs :)
