He just lacked tact. I get his point, but he should have said something like "next time I'd like to see what you choose yourself". This way you're hinting that you want a second date + you're not being tactless.

I still like him, this kind of straight forward and tactless male character is kinda refreshing, it's usually a trait you'd see on a female character in mangas.

lol i trully liked wht he did, he doesnt say anything bad, he not even said she was wrong lol, he only had a opinion different. Why dafk he need tact, if she got sad, it was only becuse her mind tricked her in beliving he was offending her. I hope she get over it, becuse even her senpai said something similar. These is pretty refreshing, the autor write a nice path for character development.
