The husband is not dead. He got offered an opportunity overseas or something (I can't really remember what specifically) but she chose to stay behind and take care of her sisters in place of their parents. She is angry he is trying to take the place of her husband.

And here i thought that the MC was just dumb, but after seeing his sister this chapter now i understand him better. Its not his fault, stupidity just runs in his family.

Ohhh that explains so much, now why is he trying to make a move on a married woman?

I could understand widowed but married in a long distance relationship? Nope.

Does... Does MC know who the funeral was for? If he somehow attended a funeral without knowing who died that would explain why MC is so confused and why the reader never found out who died. Either way it feels like bad writing for a crappy plot twist.
