I'm not really sure what the light dragon mother's logic was here? Even if you thought the light dragon mage would be preoccupied with her other duties to the other dragon children and her husband. Wanting someone devoted entirely to raising just that child is nice and all, but seriously. You should want them to be at least halfway competent too.
