Well regardless of my opinion of the anime I'm very very excited with this spin off... I saw the first chapter, the animation was Okish but then she said VENGEANGE IS MINE and ...that hurt me so bad.

The studio that does the anime was a massive disappointment, absolutely trashed a good story source

Yeah definitely is not a great adaptation. They took 3 episodes to cover 85% of vol 1, and looks like they will be using the 4th to cover the last 15% of the volume, which is mostly action compared to all the world building in the previous parts. Just awkward pacing that ruins the tension and impact. I still have hope though. Dendro just gets stronger as it goes, meanwhile Bofuri was hilarious at first but seems to have run out of steam in the latest chapters. Story has no focus and the author doesn't seem to know what to do with Maple.
