His partner clearly seems to be up to something shady.
But it could also be unrelated to his condition.

For example, what if he sold his body to get his sisters soulstone.
But the new owner was unable to use it, so he got it back after it was discarded.
But the rejection had already started so now its slowly killing him even if it is his own body.

Let's hope we get an explanation in the next few chapters :>

I don't get it, so why didn't he just attack him normally with the ambush he prepared the day before instead of just trying to go at it during a tournament? Did they think they'll get an easy win if they had him lured into a sense of security and have only cheese hunter as backup?
