I’ve been busy with other things, so I’ll probably be slowing down my pace to about a chapter a week. I like to do entire chapters in one sitting of about 3-6 hours, so feel free to translate chapters because I won’t really be losing much work since I post them right after I finish. This chapter had a lot of extra real-life information to find while not dumping too much onto me to translate, so it was pretty nice. When Honoka’s brother first appeared in the anime I was really surprised to hear Eurobeat, but now that I’ve translated and read through the author’s notes (which I usually skip when reading on my own) it makes a lot more sense seeing as Honoka’s living in Gunma, which is the setting for Initial D. (I still have yet to finish watching that…)
Another thing about the fried udon thing is that Gunma’s actually known for their wheat, which also means that their udon (made from wheat) is a specialty of the region. I wasn’t able to find fried udon as their specialty, but I did find that Gunma’s udon is supposedly the best in Japan.
