I kiiinda agree, but to play the devil's avocado:

She's been in a coma for 2 years with an unlikely chance of survival. Even if she didn't survive maybe she would've been paraplegic or had any other physical debilitation, or heck, even mentally gone.

People move on, in this case, it was unfortunate.
