Whats the consensus on comics published outside of Japan by mangaka? Koichi Koike, Taiyo Matsumoto, Naoki Urasawa, Katsuya Terada each published a one-shot comic in an anthology called The Tipping Point by Humanoids. Printed in English, French, and Japanese and reading left-to-right. Other examples include Shintaro Kago creating silent (no dialogue) comics reading left-to-right for the Italian indy publisher Hollow Press. Go Nagai produced a short one shot for an alternative comics magazine in America and a retelling of Mazinger graphic novel for the US decades ago. Yukichi Yamamatsu a very old gekiga mangaka self published a gekiga manga in India that has since been translated into Japanese and English. Numerous other examples exist of established mangaka producing manga outside of Japan.
Can these be allowed in, or do we follow MAL's strict guidelines on only allowing stuff that as originally published in Japan/China/Korea?
