About this ''oral tradition'', to begin with, it is very short lived (just 120 years), if it can even be considered that there is one or can be called that. Dracula was created by Bram Stoker and Vlad Drac-ul never governed over the area Bram Stoker says. Also the people in the area and surroundings are quite pissed at the novel, as Vlad was a hero for them for centuries, save those that live from tourism.
