Jeanne Alter was created by Gilles using the holy grail, created an "off-shoot" Jeanne from a reality that never existed. Jeanne Alter Santa Lily, lily referring to her younger form, is Jeanne Alter taking a youth potion and turning into a child Jeanne (Alter). The entire Christmas event is about fulfilling Jeanne (real)'s childhood wish of seeing the ocean, which was later left behind as time moved on. They did this so Jeanne Alter Santa Lily would have an anchor, tying down her existence so Santa Lily doesn't poof out of existence.

Feel free to correct me if there are parts that I'm wrong, as it's been a long time since we had that event.
