Why not just place the alarm clock much further away from her sleeping position?
Saves a lot of money on not needing to replace alarm clocks (and the tables they used to reside on) every single day.

@justforthelulz Placing the clock inside a steel enclosure at least 5mm thick should do the trick. Of course the nightstand should be equally sturdy. Although I guess your idea would be much cheaper and simpler.
