Feng Qi Cang Lan - Ch. 1 - The summit of cang lan

I'm not sure what to say about this. I guess I understood enough to follow it, but there is something about this Chinese manga that made it feel all over the place. Like going to a boxing match, but only listening to the announcer's emotional responses.

Jade is a stone with a distinct green color so why call the pet "Godly Jade Eyed Tiger" when it's eyes are clearly light blue.

Wow his blood tears handle dragon songs spear really fucked em up lmao (I both love and hate that weapon's name)

@CraniumAmbiguity 7 months later, you almost definitely don't remember even posting that and possibly don't care either, if so feel free to ignore this. But jade can refer to two different minerals, and both of those come in more than one color, so there can be a fair amount of variation in appearance.

Here's a bunch of jade in different shades of green as well as other colors entirely

I don't see one in that picture, but a blue like that tiger's eyes isn't impossible to find either I believe.

@Glomoro wow, thks. I did not know this.

Every instance and reference I have come across has always depicted jade as green. I thought the green color was a key trait of what made jade, jade. If they can come in other colors and that is not too uncommon, then what IS the key trait of Jade?

@CraniumAmbiguity Texture and transparency seem to be the other important factors in jade besides color in terms of their value. Translucent emerald green is the most valuable for whatever reason, so that's why we tend to see so much jade depicted that way and why many people might not be aware of the color variations other than shades of green. This is kind of a common thing with stones in general though. If I say sapphire, you're probably going to think blue. Rubies are made of the same mineral though. Other factors like what impurities are present determine what color they end up as. I think the sought after green coloring in one of the minerals we call jade comes from its iron impurities actually.
