There are three different patrons for a Warlock from the D&D 5e Player's Handbook, which are the Fiend, the Great Old One... and the Archfey. The fact that they mention patrons and they specifically mention two out of the three 5e PHB patrons and nothing from supplemental materials such as Xanathar's Guide to Everything implies that this is a homebrew world based on the 5e core rulebooks and that Kudo is a Warlock of the Archfey with Pact of the Blade.
