I don't think I would believe a little girl that came up to me was my gaming friend either, especially if I'd only ever heard a middle aged mans voice. We only know it is her because we understand the premise and tropes of the manga. It's not him being slow, it's him being logical.

Honestly though, I won't believe it if a little girl is my FPS mate and the fact that she is still willing to approach me knowing how I look. So I completely understand the dude disbelieve.

I mean, every sane person would react the way he did. You have a FPS buddy who has deep voice and you're waiting for him then a little girl appears and starts talking about a promise. The first reaction would be to run from FBI-kun.

@Newbii I can tell you speech pattern is different. We can actually see that. The online gamer friend is actually speaking just fine, while the little girl here is speaking shyly. Unsure of herself.
