One thing I kind of appreciate about this manga is how the hero's been treating it all so far. He's incredibly flippant and nonchalant about casually killing everyone who has ever wronged him, including women and children. Quite the face-turn compared to his old hero-like self.

Revenge is cool and all but can mc meet someone alive and not rotten inside for some character development, all we have is his past and revenge with charisma fragrance.

I am truly grateful that the author makes all antagonists one-dimensional villains. This helps a lot with avoiding the cognitive dissonance associated with killing and torturing people for "revenge". Making the kids ugly is a nice touch to emphasize the moral corruption in the village. It serves as a great indicator for readers that fail to perceive the "subtle" hints left there by the author.
