Go With the Clouds, North-by-Northwest - Vol. 2 Ch. 13 - There are many bookstores in Reykjavík

@TSP, thank you guys for the great scanlation! It's always an interesting read. This time it was just reeelaxing, like the mangaka is fully reliving being a tourist. I also like the way your artists are doing this square/blocky-edge SFX, in this chapter especially I felt was meshing quite well with the story.

It's such a genuine story that the mangaka is doing.

@Altaki

Glad you enjoy! :D
Yeah, author definitely reliving her own moments here lol.

@Raydnt Reading Irie Aki-sensei's work, its that there are multiple moments where the characters and plot steps away from seriousness and just basks in beauty and relaxation

@alacaelum @UnluckyGrape Absolutely. I don't know exactly what but there's something about Irie Aki's works that feels simply right. It's like the worlds are lived in, the pacing and character's feel true to life, and that's something very few authors can do (other than Irie Aki, only Mayuzuki Jun's name comes to mind right now, but I am positive most of my 10/10s come from stories like this).

@RedCat Mayuzuki jun-sensei has mastered the art of nostalgia to a level that shouldn't even be allowed, she can make us feel that feeling like we have lived her stories and are just basking in the bittersweet memories of the past.

I think Mori Kaoru-sensei is another one that fits the bill, her works are ground in reality, and have such respect for the stories that she tells that i could swear her characters really existed at some point in real life.

Irie Aki-sensei is my favorite, because of the sense of adventure she packs in her story, it is like i am a kid again discovering a whole new world and living it not just witnessing it, that is why pauses from the "main plot" like this one feel so right to me. Helps too that she knows how to incorporate supernatural stuff in her stories in a way that i am just a sucker for.

My God. With Irie Aki, I always hate it when she returns to the plot because I enjoy chapters like these so much. Her art style is so beautiful. I could just read her stuff over and over again.

The way she combines magic with the every day is amazing. I love magical realism, and she just does it right.

This was such an amazing chapter! I love the pacing, the art, the interactions - how both friends knew where the other would be and also of course, the nostalgia and feeling of traveling was well captured too. Love this series.
