so my question is: to what degree does his ability inform him about objects? I mean, so far he's shown the ability to discern fakes from actual valuables, a currently unexplained ranking of what I presume is value/rarity or something like that (could end up being much more meaningful depending on the route this series takes), and to see through simple scam devices. but can it see through more complex setups or non-mechanical scamming actions (i.e. slight of hand)? does it tell him about damages that would reduce an item's value? or if an item was say stolen from it's previous owner and/or is being tracked by very dangerous people who might prefer to kill him and take it rather than pay because of it's worth?
