This was very... wise.
Goddamit, it was all going so well.
Also a TL;DR is stupid then you'd miss just how utterly disillusioned he is with all of life, but fine:
Economy is shit, culture is shit, japan is shit, all of those are getting shittier.
He started out full of hopes, to shape the next generation. Even though he made sacrifices, none of his students remember ol chrome dome, and treat him as less than an after thought.
His family is a fucking mess, daughter treats him like some half germ half human hybrid, and his wife has been cheating on him for god knows how long.
Everytime something bad happens he's the first to get blamed for it, and everytime he can have something nice, that something nice is taken away from him.
All this shit leaves him just completely baffled, as to why the hell does he even keep on living?
And now he finally had one of his good deeds be rewarded, he for the first time in his life felt reinvigorated. Then Chadizuka spartan kicked that door right into him.
