Dropping this. It's a typical "dog blood" story with an oppressed heroine and savior make lead. You read it once, you've read them all. It's not cute or funny like Distinguished Cute Master.

I read the novel for Meng Shi Zai Shang and this sequel. The feel of the writing is markedly different between the two stories. It makes me wonder if the editor or something else caused this sequel to be stagnant and a chore to read. The cutesy fun feeling that made Meng Shi Zai Shang special is non-existent here.

This is super disappointing. If you came here from Meng Shi Zai Shang - this is absolutely nothing like it. It abuses overused tropes like there's no tomorrow. It's just another story about a heroine that got a raw deal and is always getting fucked over and the ML that comes in and white knights all her problems away. The story does have a few unique traits to it, but they aren't enough to save it.

she's a little stronger than the typical FL but it's treated more like power fantasy than actual plot. The evil fake daughter plot point was the point where I was just done with it. That just made everything before that seem pointless. I mean what is even the point of a organ bag if they don't atleast do a blood test first?

If you came into this expecting something similar to Meng Shi Zai Shang atleast in terms of quality - prepare to be very disappointed. It's written slightly better than the typical story in the subgenre, but it just isn't engaging at all.

Sure the ML ends up saving her ass but do you guys really expect her to win against a bunch of classmates who come from rich ass families without ML’s help? Without ML, and she offended them, since her step father isn’t well off then those rich classmates she “offended”(although in truth she’s just standing up for herself) could’ve used their moola to get her in so much more trouble(they already bully her and her sis tried to kill her but I mean it in the way that they could use their money to make mc live a miserable life forever. Which they would have done if mc didn’t meet ML.).

I didn’t read the main story, but I’ll check it out. Thank you for the chapter

"supposed" because this gives the author leeway to claim that's it's something else if the author desires to later on.
