i wish the straightie wasn't so damn unlikable, it makes it hard to understand why lesbian-san even gives a shit about her
 
When I first started reading this it seemed like this impressive gritty realism thing. At a certain point it started feeling more like the mangaka was just doing whatever they could think of that would be a downer, which is neither enjoyable nor particularly realistic or impressive. So I quit.
(That certain point would be when a key character drowns in the bath and it looks kind of like suicide even though it's just an accident, leaving the remaining characters still more angst-ridden and incapable of positive resolutions. Whatever, man.)
 
what a strange art style, this is the first time i've seen an "ugly" heroine in a manga. it's kind of compelling
 
I don't comment much but thank you so much. I have been following this for years, since the first chapter came out. I'm so happy to see the ending. Seriously thank you to everyone who worked on it!
 
Not the most perfect series out there, but it’s so different from what I normally check out that it was an interesting read regardless. Sort of meandered in the middle, and it had the tendency to repeat a lot of portions, but aside from that it was great.
 
I just finished this depressing shit show and god I'm sad as fuck. What
broke me was when the ex gf drowned like holy shit I cried like a bitch and haven't cried that bad in a LONG fucking time and still do whenever I think about how her life ended when she was trying to make it better and how her GOD LIKE PARENTS mostly the mom accepted she was a lesbian and yet there she died in such a dumb but normal way, seriously tho Love makes people do crazy shit but I think the Only thing that I could say bothered me was that that Jelly Ex bully runner only showed up for like barely any parts like I thought she would play a bigger role but nothing happened like it felt like the author forgot about her and the other part was I legit thought the Straight girl had lung cancer at the end cause of all the coughing and it hit me when I realized she smoked alot and I remembered the lesbian girl telling her to quit smoking cause it gives cancer like in ch 1 or 2 but then nothing happened so I guess it was a cold lol? but yeah great depressing series but wish It had a tad more work
 
Incredibly depressing, I had no clue why it was so long because it felt like a complete slog, I couldn't help but despise the straight woman and hate her, but in the end.. It was pretty good. The true villain is the society that failed them and let them grow to become so twisted. It really is one of those stories that goes out of its way to make you miserable for no good reason (the bath accident... Come on.) but it does do a really good job of portraying the complexities of the human condition and all the irrational and unreasonable ways people will act, the complexities of love and of hate and all the helplessness that they impart.

A miserable slog, but sometimes that's what real life is like, and they did a great job depicting that emotional realism.

Stayed up all night bingeing it, good manga imo. Ugly as fuck characters but i guess that was the point
