Ok, I have to include this. Some gelatin are extracted from pigs but that doesn't mean they can't have gelatin. Some are extracted from other animals and others are extracted from seaweed and plants.

replying to the previous comments, there are 2 or 3 major teachings in islam; one is more strict than the other.
but reciting the takbir is always a must!!!!

what i was taught, is that the meat slaughtered by a muslim man can be eaten by anyone, but meat slaughtered by a muslimah can only be eaten by women and children. i haven't read the quran so idk it's true or not.
