Wow, these after-words are really, really thoughtful and thorough... as someone who's not planning on getting surgery*, seeing so much compassion and thought about people like me and how they'd be affected by laws like this is nice.

*And just like it implied this chapter: Please don't ask a question like 'so are you getting The Surgery' to a trans person, especially if you don't know them or just met(!), which has happened to me.

@octoroks thank you! I'm glad to hear that, since I worried it might seem spam-ey or something... but I really do love this manga. And it feels nice to see a similar experience (even though its also very different) out there.

Also for anyone interested in trans stories like this from the US, hunting around indie comics is a great place to start. There's lots of little autobio comics and zines out there

Wow changing ur legal sex has so much bs wrapped up in it, the parts about how you can’t be married, have to have surgery, and the whole family tree stuff is pretty stupid huh
