Has anyone here gotten the Coronavirus, or know someone who has?

Just curious. I know people who know people that got it, but no one I know personally did.

my family and colleagues aren't that stupid to get infected by a stupid disease with stupidly-easy preventive measures.

What do you mean? Its really difficult for me to get enough toilet paper to stop the virus from phasing through the walls and invading my room.

Not anyone I know, although I'm sure no matter how many precautions I take, a random unknowingly infected idiot barreling into me at a routine grocery run could spell my doom.

The grandfather of some friends of mine, being over 90 years old, after staying in the hospital since before the emergence of the epidemic died right there from pneumonia in combination with Corona, leaving behind his wife devastated, she being also over 90 years old. This is the only Corona case involving someone I personally knew and sadly but not surprisingly a fatal one.

I heard from my mom that a priest of one of the churches we go to passed away from corona. I don't remember priest names tho so I'm not sure which she was talking about. She was pretty bummed out by his death.

I live in France, and here I think most people know someone that got it. In my family my grandfather and great grandmother (tested positive but with only light symptômes) had it. In my village, rumors spread faster than the Coronavirus, so we all know who had it, and there's a few. For instance, all the management of a local company...

The first case of Coronavirus in my grandma's town was caused by one of her church friends (let's call her Jenny) who worked at the store my grandma most shops at. Jenny and 7 of her friends had been saving up for a trip to Europe. The pandemic ensued. They wouldn't let that interrupt their plans. They came back a week later. The next day there were 10 cases in that small town alone, beginning with said store.

Jenny's argument before going? "God will protect us!"
