The trick in the way to kill the girls makes sense, but I can't understand how can everyone go to that same section of the all. Unless there's traps like that one spread along the whole wall.

I had the same question and figured it's either that or the wall is much more difficult to climb everywhere else (and the nuns make sure it stays that way). Not sure which is more likely, to be honest.
