@morichiro @Koin no, its a flashback, and I guess they are foreshadowing the fact that they are going to the holy city next, likely with him or one of his friends pulling out the holy sword somehow.

iirc, it's not the first time this series shows an unmarked flashback, and considering that mc sometimes even a tad bewildered about what he see in those flashback, like it's not supposed to go that way, i say it's possible that it ain't really flashback, but rather some paralel time wobbly-wobbly thingy
