I still don't understand that anime/manga cliche where the MC's friends/classmates get angry because he is close to a girl or going out with one.

You would expect them to be happy about it or tease him but instead it's "WAAA HOW DARE YOU STOP BEING A LONELY VIRGIN, WE WILL LYNCH YOU FOR YOUR CRIME".

Like, look at the shit his "friend" tried to pull in this chapter. If I found out a friend of mine tried to hit on a girl he knows I'm close to just because he thought it was not fair I get a gf before he does, I'd punch him in the dick and cut all ties with him and yet here it's portrayed as just a funny personality quirk.
