On page 12 first bubble it says you're the only one who can fire magic, it's missing words in there. Unless it meant fire as firing magic then yeah, not sure now when I read it first I thought it was you're the only one who can cast fire magic, but yeah

Original text is 撃てる which is to fire (or to shoot) so you are right with your second guess.

This is impossible. Anime protagonists are supposed to assume the enemy is dead and leave, giving the enemy an opening to counterattack!
