I, a Commoner, Was Actually Reincarnated - Ch. 1.2

That was ridiculously convenient, but I suppose it fits with the 'reincarnated with cheat powers' trope.

2 months for 1.2 release, see y'all in 2 more months for 1.3! Thank you for the TL!

I guess it's a good thing the story is moving so quickly, if the updates come so slowly.. Hehe just kidding. 😆

Thank you for continuing with the translation! 🙏

... For some reason I expect this story to take a turn for a much worse in the soon-to-follow chapters... Or at least a denial of becoming the "specialist"...
Because that's just too quick a progression and too naive a stance to just accept it straight off the bat.

@Chaosking1236 Don't worry. You are not crazy.

@Milanin Quick progression I agree. Naive stance... not so much since there are a lot of "clues" that the guy is telling the truth such as her changed eye color. |

Even if you don't trust him as a person (which will not happen. She is totally going to stick to him and fall in love or w/e), the whole specialist thing seems more believable now.

what is with these royal families with crippling curses in isekai's? how have they not been over thrown yet? it's been 300 years since the last purifier and the curse must have been around for a long time before that so it's been several centuries and this family that is short lived and weak is still allowed to rule? how? weak monarchies get over thrown, it's a staple of history.

Youre a grown up woman inside yet you choose your path recklessly 🙄 what if he's a bad guy? I mean, royal family is so messy. theres even a possibility that they will imprison you beacuse they need your magic

@Doomer It's because the curse isn't actually a curse, "royal family members with strong blood ties" is a nice way to hide that they're products of constant generational inbreeding and are dying from their fucked up genetics. They probably call it a royal curse to trick the commoners and prevent anyone from taking them out by claiming the curse will be transferred to the new rulers.

@broadsword80 while I agree I think he was referring to the fact that they were overworked to death which is why he wants her to be his personal specialist instead of a general purifier

@broadsword80 @Cloy552 : and also to me feels like it is why there have been none for 3 centuries, they overworked the ones with the trait they wanted, and as a result effectively bread out that trait since the members who had full lives (and more kids) would be the ones without the trait. Which would slowly weaken the trait until it just stopped appearing, of course greedy royals would just make it worse demanding more of those with the weaker trait so they had shorter, more over worked, lives and thus speed up the degradation.
