Honestly the dad here is, ostensible narcissism and short temper notwithstanding, to all appearances an absolute sweetheart. Such a protective papa bear.

I'd probably marry him happily. I don't think I could say that about the protagonists of most of these things; not if considering what living with them would be like IRL.
