The heat wouldn't instantly dissipate and given how he melted a steel rod and made a man boil from touching him, it's reasonable that the "cool down" period would take a bit (and by a bit, a mean probably several minutes given how the human body has a high heat capacity) and so he could still use the ability in that time. @Reikou
