That was brutal. I feel like this could somehow have been avoided if he didn't commit suicide 3 times in a row.

That's why I'm not even slightly affected by it. It was too obvious. Now, the only thing left is the end. He'll bow before Death, unflaggingly apologetic, but it won't matter. She's done with him, and I'm sure we won't even get to see his fate in the afterlife. Our POV ends at the exit of Death's waiting room.

We'll never know. Death bears no malice toward humans, she doesn't deliberately kill them. She was giving the MC a chance to alter the fate of people's bodies. Every one was doomed to die, but as we just saw, he has the ability to change that. This was Death's lesson for him. Life is precious, and he squandered his.

This wasn't wholly unexpected, but it was still fucked.
@MrMcNasty Bears no malice my ass. She deliberately singled him out of countless human beings that probably had the exact same opinions about death as he did.
She herself admitted that it was by pure chance that she chose him of all people, and she visibly got angry with him more than once throughout her appearances.
Until the story shows otherwise, she doesn't seem like some entity with an alien mindset that does things mere humans can't comprehend. She's more like a Greek god at their worst, petty, spiteful, and strangely human for a divine being.
@Lithe Probably something about South Korea's laws and culture. Maybe there had been a very controversial incident in the past involving knives or something like that.

Death is a cunt, his mom was obvious but it was such a cruel thing to do that I am pretty sure this is his hell instead of Death trying to prove a point.

Yeah his Mom being the final bullet was pretty obvious. And Death probably did out of spite because he stopped trying and just kept killing himself.
