@MegaAnime : they have 0 reason to mug him, since he is carrying more then they can, it is a strict loss to mug or kill him. If there is a betrayal the only non retarded option is withholding some or even all of his wages when they get back to town, even that us not likely if he is notacibly increasing their profits and knows it, since that would mean he could likely move to another party trivially.

i'd be mad about the whole "getting kicked out" but I'd be ok after finding out my abilities. But, why doesn't he level up as well? if he can get the loot why not the exp is it because they can see the exp but not the loot?

@JWChibi maybe the normal "didn't fight, no xp" or "last hit gets the xp" stettings..
so as MC atm does nothing other then picking up the loot, he gets no xp

so what happened if he pickup the loots? If he pickups that kobold skin, would the corpse suddenly got skinned?
Cause if it's not then the party would get the skin too (by manually disassemble the corpse)

@alvianosi : he is hiring himself out as a porter using his storage a ability, because it is his only marketable skill, right now. From other series I gave read, unless such storage is common as hell it could easily draw the attention of people he needs to avoid. If it is rare then any smuggler, merchant, nobles and even the king who summoned him would all have reasons for wanting to control him and his life.

Heck they could want him as a "servant" for whatever noble/prince/princess/etc they have tag along with the hero party to control them, so they could live in luxury while on the mission.

That and kicking out someone who you summoned is a huge corrupt king(dom) red flag.
