The guy she's interested in to some degree isn't exactly a saint but she's quite thoroughly surrounded by degenerates that are interested in her. Kind of reminds me of one of the girls in Dear Only You Don't Know, some shaman type of person told her she'd unfortunately spend her life attracting attention from the kind of people who'd be creeps.
