Might be a manhwa or a webtoon, 80% sure it or the MC started with "G".
Martial arts themed. MC has light brown hair and wears what I would call "Jedi robes".
MC inherited a fighting style and has to practice because he wasn't as good as his brother who was killed....He's out for revenge and is generally distrustful, but makes some peasant friends. Art wise, his fighting attacks were very spirally, visually like tornadoes around hands and feet? Lots of talk about grounding and hardening chi or whatever.
I don't remember it being heavy on the "cultivation" thing, more like he literally gets better and learns as he fights tougher opponents. He ends up involved in local politics where people either want to help him or use him. He gets to the "martial god" status at one point.
