If it culturally/narratively doesn't make sense why should it impact the translation?

Subtitles to Dubs are complicated when you think of context, tone, having to match with the animation. When I was actively learning Japanese I realized this by watching anime with my limited vocabulary.

Interesting chapter, and having rivals is fine and stuff... but did the author HAVE to design them nearly identically?

It took me several minutes to figure out Mizuki wasn't just Kurumi with the ponytail hidden behind her head.
