Bruh, what are you even mad about? There's no romance tag on this manga. I believe this is just an arc to show how fashion connect to attractiveness.
The romance part isn't even the main focus.
You're looking for something that's not there in the first place.

The point was to show how to dress in a college environment, not the romance; since the MC is a working adult they needed to introduce a new character.
I agree that if you want romance, this is not the manga for you
