I think she's "Cyany" because she was part of a colorful group of ghosts, and maybe the others' names also matched the colors?

Yeah, each of the ghost is a color. But usually when we translate Chinese names, we would still just write out the Pinyin. The "Er" part is like the "-chan" suffix in Japanese. Changing that to "-ny" is too weird. I guess, in the end, it's up to the translator.

I'm actually relieved it was Allen who did this instead of some other group. Quality translations are hard to find and I know Allen for his translations on the doctor's supremacy (did that manhua ever get picked up ?), Iron ladies and martial legacy (glad this one's back...but then it's not releasing again...).
I also remember his purple trivia panel, mostly about dumplings, but some were explaining terms and techniques :)
