I'm Becoming a Master of the Imperial Palace! - Vol. 1 Ch. 87

Yeah! Fuck him >,> (Didn't bother explaining things to her...) and thank you for the update <3 <3 <3 <3

I know the Emperor meant well but I really respect her Father for going so far for her

I feel like no one really understands the decisions he has to make as emperor...and yes I’m taking into account how he didn’t tell her anything...and I understand the father’s feelings (it’s his beloved daughter after all!)
But seriously, it’s like everyone’s only thinking about their own hurt feelings, making assumptions and forgetting he’s human too yet as you can see from the last chapter, he always has to put himself aside and swallow down his own hurt and pain. If he makes a single mistake - if he had made a single mistake this time - it spells doom for all of them, not just himself. He can’t just do as he likes yet he tries to.
If you say it’s better he told her, do you think she would’ve sat aside given her personality? It was a planned coup d’etat, not some minor event.
I don’t blame her or her father for feeling the way they did, they went through a lot because of the framing, but truly the emperor’s seat is a lonely one huh.
I’d just like for just one more person to be on his side. For all intents and purposes, he only has his brother (who thank goodness is truly on his side)

Her dad's smart, he knows the emperor won't punish him even if he talked smack like that xD Realistically he would let her go so she doesn't have to deal with politics (and all the dangers of the court that comes along with it) but ofc that's not gonna happen.

@midwinteroasis Yeah, being an emperor is lonely. Most readers have unsympathetic reactions to the emperor, and I'm going to assume it's because it's just difficult to grasp the political scene of ancient China for a regular reader that has no idea what it was like (I feel like this is a common problem for readers on this site, since these manhua's were made for a Chinese audience afterall). The author also didn't help in rushing the arc though, but then again, I'm probably just complicating things, IDK.

I mean, yeah emperor — what did you expect? I mean, no dad is gonna look kindly on a son-in-law who imprisons him. Uh-uh
